Underdark Coming to DDO
Just when you thought you’d heard all the D&D news! Dungeons and Dragons Online will start players down the path to the Underdark with Update 13 coming in February. The Menace of the Underdark is the title of the big expansion hitting DDO as the MMO enters its’ 6th year. Players will go up against Lloth, the Spider Goddess of the Dark Elves in this Forgotten Realms setting.

Still want more? How about more pets? A new Class? No problem. They will be adding more pets and a new playable race, the Druid. Unfortunately there aren’t many details about the new Druid class so I guess, for the moment, we’ll have to wait and see what Turbine has in store.
Player level cap will also increase to 25, with lots of customization options available to players at the cap. Turbine also noted that they are working closely with Wizards and, as announced with D&D 5e, they’ll be working closely with the players as well.
So with the expansion and plenty of new story content, this MMO is far from dead. I haven’t played DDO in awhile to be honest, but I am definitely going to get back into the mix and ride the waves of change. I’m very happy with what I’m witnessing from Wizards in 2012; New edition, 1e reprints, DDO expansion and D&D Neverwinter. Awesome!
